Mannaerts Moreschini & Associati’s Anglo – American Desk facilitates doing business in Italy for companies with a common law background and for Italian companies wishing to expand their business into common law jurisdictions or other countries where English is spoken.
Angela Mannaerts, the head of our Anglo – American Desk spent several years in the U.S. studying American law and subsequently working as a Supreme Court Clerk and lawyer in a prominent international law firm in New York City. Through this experience, she gained a deep understanding of the American business culture and the American legal system. Knowing the common law system and related legal jargon, Angela is also skilled in assisting with matters relating to other English-speaking countries.

After earning a full American law degree (J.D.) with high distinction from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, College of Law, Angela Mannaerts, started her career clerking for the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the State of Nebraska. Upon completion of a one-year clerkship, she joined the New York office of the prominent American law firm Paul, Weiss, working on high profile matters related to corporate law, mergers and acquisitions and securities law.
Returning to Europe, she collaborated with a prominent British law firm and a renowned Dutch law firm. During her work experience in The Netherlands, Angela was regularly appointed as the lawyer responsible for transactions handled on behalf of the firm’s American clients.
With her extensive experience doing business in the U.S., coordinating cross-border matters for American and Italian clients, and her networks in Italy, the U.S. and other foreign countries, Angela is highly skilled at assisting Italian companies and entrepreneurs with their expansions abroad and at guiding English-speaking clients through the Italian legal system.
Angela is supported in her Anglo – American Desk activities by the other English-speaking members of The Firm. In addition, Mannaerts Moreschini & Associati has an office manager who can communicate with clients in fluent English and four other languages and is inter alia responsible for translations from English into Italian and vice versa.
